I have been making circles
connecting your thoughts
I listen to your inner voices
and at times shed a tear or two
Still you worry about
all the little things, choices unsettled
do not let the light dim
or I may not be able to return
Know that when you close
your eyes and call my name
I will appear just as before
this is not magic or done with mirrors
Feel calm as my voice touches
your soul, steady the beating heart
hear the flap of wings or not
arms wrapped around like sacred armor
